Community rules

The RDM Community is run by RD Motorsport Ltd in Linlithgow. It's here for BMW M owners to share builds, ask questions and help each other. Keep it like the workshop: honest, helpful and decent.

The rules

  1. Be decent. No abuse, threats, harassment, discrimination or personal attacks. Disagree with the idea, not the person.
  2. Nothing illegal. No illegal content of any kind, no stolen parts or cars, no instructions for removing emissions equipment or other illegal modifications for road use, and no content that puts anyone at risk.
  3. No scams or spam. No advertising, affiliate links, fake reviews or repeated posting. Trade sellers, talk to us first.
  4. Respect privacy. Don't post anyone else's personal details. Blur other people's faces if they haven't agreed to be shown.
  5. Post your own photos, or ones you have permission to use.
  6. Keep it on topic and post in the right section. One build thread per car.
  7. Advice is advice. Tech help here comes from members and isn't a diagnosis of your car. If in doubt, get it looked at by someone who can see it.
  8. Be 18 or over to join.

Reporting a post

Every post has a Report link. Use it for anything that breaks these rules. Our moderators see every report and act on it, usually within a working day. You can also email callum@rd-motorsport.co.uk or call 0131 333 1653.

What moderators can do

We can edit, move or remove posts and threads, lock threads, and stop accounts from posting. We'll normally remove a post that breaks the rules and, for repeated or serious breaches, ban the account. If you think we've got it wrong, email us and we'll look again.

Your account and data

Your username, profile picture, car, location, posts and photos are public. Your email address is never shown. You can delete your posts at any time, and you can delete your whole account yourself from Settings, choosing whether your posts stay up as “Former member” or go too. See our privacy policy.
